2 left-bracket (12 + 2 x) + (15 + 2 x) right-bracket = 74

Answer:
x=(5)/(2)

Explanation:

Do you mean
2[(12+2x)+(15+2x)]=74? In that case just finish things inside the bracket first then multiply 2 inside.


2(12+2x+15+2x)=74


2(27+4x)=74

Then multiply 2 inside the bracket.


54+8x=74

Move 54 to other side then we get,


8x=74-54


8x=20


x=(20)/(8)


x=(5)/(2)
