Answer:

There were 900 black and white copies printed.

Explanation:

Given:

For every 9 black and white copies printed there are 2 color copies printed.

2 color copies = 9 black and white copies

We need to find the number of black and white copies if there are 200 color copies.

solution:

First we will find the number of black and white copies for 1 color copy.

Now we know that;

2 color copies = 9 black and white copies

1 color copy = Number of black and white copies for 1 color copy.

By Using Unitary method we get;

Number of black and white copies for 1 color copy =
(9)/(2) = 4.5

Now we can say that;

1 color copy = 4.5 black and white copy

200 color copies = Number of black and white copies for 200 color copy

Again By Using Unitary method we get;

Number of black and white copies for 200 color copy =
200* 4.5 = 900

Hence There were 900 black and white copies printed.

Answer:

900 black and white copies are printed.

Explanation:

Given:

For every 9 black and white copies printed there are 2 color copies printed.

If there are 200 color copies printed.

Now, to find the number of black and white copies are printed.

Let the number of black and white copies printed be
x.

As given, for every 9 black and white copies printed there are 2 color copies printed.

So, 9 is equivalent to 2.

If there are 200 color copies printed.

Thus,
x is equivalent to 200.

Now, to solve by using cross multiplication method:

(9)/(2) =(x)/(200)

By cross multiplying we get:

1800=2x

Dividing both sides by 2 we get:

900=x

x=900.

Therefore, 900 black and white copies are printed.
