Answer: Preparatory Stage; Game Stage.

Explanation: George Herbert Mead was an American philosopher, sociologist and psychologist.

In the context of his framework, he established three (3) stages of self-development. They include Preparatory Stage, Play Stage, and Game Stage.

However, PREPARATORY STAGE represent the first stage of self-development. According to George Herbert Mead, preparatory stage starts from when a child is born to about the age of two (2). This stage is largely characterized with children mimicing or imitating those around them. The child doesn't understand the interactions taking place because of lack of cognitive abilities at this stage. Hence, it prevents parents from saying foul language around them.

Whereas, children is said to be at the GAME STAGE when they begin to participate in games that are structured by rules such as the baseball, soccer etc. They adhere to rules and guildlines at this stage of self-development.

George Herbert Mead, established that during this stage, children begins to take perspective into account. This is said to begin at age seven (7) and above.
