Knowing the measures or the three sides of a triangle we can know if the triangle is right, isosceles, or equilateral and also compared with another we can tell if it is congruent or similar with another Δ.

We can see that knowing the sides will tell us more about the congruency of triangles whereas knowing just the angles can tell us that triangles are similar yet we will not know if the triangles are also congruent.
