Answer: This is so because the perpetrators of cyber crime do not present a physical threat to society. Their aim most times is to gain financial buoyancy without out-rightly planning to hurt anyone. If you critically analyze this, you would find understanding reasons why these courts give lighter sentences as regards cyber crime.
