Answer:

Frank will travel remaining 400 miles of the trip in 10 hours with same speed.

Explanation:

Given:

Number of miles already traveled = 120 miles

Number of hours required to travel = 3 hours

Number of miles more need to be traveled = 400 miles

We need to find the time required to travel 400 miles.

Solution:

First we will find the speed at which he is travelling.

Now we know that.

Speed is equal to distance traveled divided by time required to travel that distance.

framing in equation form we get;

Speed =
(120)/(3)= 40 \ mi/hr

Now the distance to be travel more which is 400 miles and with same speed which is 40 mi/hr and we need to find the time required.

Now we know that;

Time is equal to Distance to be traveled divided by Speed of travelling.

framing in equation form we get;

Time =
(400\ mi)/(40\ mi/hr)= 10\ hr

Hence Frank will travel remaining 400 miles of the trip in 10 hours with same speed.
