So perimeter of these regular hexagons = 2×(Sum of all 6 sides of a hexagon)

Total perimeter of these identical placements = 2(6x) = 12x

Perimeter of identical placements = Length of the ribbon used

12x = (80 - length of leftover ribbon)

12x = 80 - 8
