2x3 + 6x2 - 8x= 0 Take out the common factor 2x:

2x( x^2 - 3x - 4) = 0

2x(x - 4)(x + 1) = 0

2x = 0 or x - 4 = 0 or x + 1 = 0, so:

x = 0, 4, -1.
