What is the solution to the system of equations?

y = -5x + 30
x = 10

Y = -5(10) + 30
Y = -50 + 30
Y = -20

Answer: B. (10, -20)

Apply substitution

y = -5x + 30

y = -5*10 + 30 ... replace x with 10, since x = 10 is given

y = -50 + 30

y = -20

So x = 10 and y = -20 pair up to form the solution of the system.
