I would use ratio, so girls on the left as 3 and boys on the right as 1. As their is 3 times as many girls compare to boys. Add these 2 numbers together and this makes 4 parts to the ratio. Now divide 24 by 4 and that gives you 1 part. Then multiply it by 3 to get 3 parts to get the amount of girls.
