The circumference of a circle is the perimeter of the circle. To find the circumference you do radius x pi x 2. To find the radius, you work backwards.

50.24 ÷ 2 = 25.12

25.12 ÷ 3.14 = 8cm

The radius is 8cm.

To find the area, you do pi x radius to the power of 2.

3.14 x 8² =

3.14 x 64 = 200.96cm

So the area of the circle is 200.96.
