Explanation:

The translation:

(x,y) ------->>>> (x - 8 , y + 4)

Means that translate x "8" units left and translate y "4" units up.

Or simply, put

subtract 8 from x and add 4 to y.

The given point is:

A(2,6),

so x = 2

and y = 6

So, after translation, it will be:

2 - 8 = -6

6 + 4 = 10

So, the image will be:


A'(-6,10)
