Answer:

If a teacher of the maths teaching sector is paid a salary of bands meaning bracket grading, where each of the 4 bands have the ratio of 3:5 5:6.6:10, if the highest paid included a pay raise within year 1 by 10% each consecutive year. The lower paid band gets an increase of 10% of one year after 4 years. then based on the ratios shown for year 1 -5 and year 4-5 what is the ratio upon year 5 for the highest paid and the lowest paid? How much would they earn to the monetary nearest significant figure if low has £26,599 a year medium has a set figure of £32,000 and highest has a set figure of £45,000 for running a department or sub group.

Explanation:

You can do this answer by speaking of percentages of 20% of 10 which is 2+ increase. You can write the years of each ratio under one other like this. Perhaps put the bands above the number like a chart.

band 1,2,3,4 3:5 5:6 6:11 end year 1

3:5 5:6 6:12 end year 2

end year 4 etc

end year 5 to get to the sum.

Ans 2) Year 5 Salary of band 1 =

Year 5 Salary of band 5 =

etc.
