During a very quick stop, a car decelerates at 7.00 m/s2. What is the angular acceleration of its 0.280-m-radius tires, assuming they do not slip on the pavement

Answer: - 25 rad/s²

Explanation: The linear acceleration (a) is related to angular acceleration (α) is given as

a = αr

-7.00 = α (0.280)

α = - 7/ 0.280 = - 25 rad/s²

The negative sign denotes deceleration
