Answer: y=-2x+(-2)

Explanation:

To write an equation in slope intercept form

y = mx + b

If y +4 = - 2 (x-1)

First open the bracket

y + 4 = -2x +2

Add -4 to both sides of the equation

y + 4 - 4 = -2x +2 - 4

-4 will cross out +4 in the left hand side of the equation

y=-2x-2 can be written as y=-2x+(-2)

Answer:

y = -2x -2

Explanation:

Slope intercept form: y = mx + b

y + 4 = -2(x-1)

y + 4 = -2*x - 1 * -2

y + 4 = -2x + 2

y = -2x + 2 - 4

y = -2x -2
