A+x/2 − a−x/2 , if a=−2; x=−6

i need some help on this problem i don't get step by step explanation and answer would be helpful

Answer: Answer is 0

Explanation:

From the question,

A + x/2 - a - x/2

Step 1: slot in the values, a = -2; x = -6

-2 + -6/2 - (-2 - (-6/2))

Step 2: find the LCM, and be mindful of the signs

= -1 - (-1) .........- x - = +

= -1 + 1

=0
