How many different triangles can u make if you are given these two lengths 25in and 18in for sides

Answer:

With sides of 25 inches and 18 inches the third side MUST be greater than 7 and less than 43 or a triangle WON'T be formed.

(NOTE: square root of 301 = 17.3493515729 and square root of 949 = 30.8058436015 )

If 3rd side is greater than 7 and less than square root (301) you have an obtuse scalene triangle.

If 3rd side = square root (301) , you have a right triangle.

If 3rd side > square root (301) and less than 18 then you have an acute scalene triangle

If 3rd side = 18, you have an acute isosceles triangle.

If 3rd side > 18 and less than square root of 949, you have an acute scalene triangle.

If 3rd side = square root of 949, then you have a right triangle

If 3rd side > square root of 949 and < 43 then you have an obtuse scalene triangle.
