the angle between a tangent and the diameter = 90°

Then the triangle is right with legs 2 × 6 = 12 and 6.4

using Pythagoras' identity in the right triangle.

the square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the legs , that is

? ² = 12² + 6.4² = 144 + 40.96 = 184.96 ( take square root of both sides )
