Explanation:

Total vehicles crosses the bridge = 30

Number of passenger cars = 60 % of all vehicles =
(60)/(100)* {30} = 18

Other vehicles = 30 - 18 = 12

Charges for one passenger cars = $1.00

Thus total Revenue by the passenger cars = 18 × 1 = $18

Charges for other vehicles = $2.25

Total revenue by other vehicles = 2.25 × 12 = $27

Thus the total revenue from the toll bridge = 18 + 27 = $45
