A map has a scale of 1in:25mi. If Town A is 6 inches from Town B, what is the

distance between the two towns?

Please explain how you do it

answer: 150 mi

explanation: since the scale is 1:25, you have to figure out what 6 is. to make 1 six on the scale, you multiply it by 6, so you have to do the same with the other side. 25 times 6 is 150 and that is the answer
