What is the volume of a cylinder with a height of 2.9 ft and a base with a radius of 4.5 ft, to the nearest tenth of a cubic foot?

ground area × height

the ground area is a circle, so we get

pi×r²×h

where r is the radius, h is the height.

therefore

pi×4.5²×2.9 = 184.4900286... ft³ ≈ 184.5 ft³
