Suppose that the amount of algae in a pond doubles every 4 hours. If the pond initially contains 50 pounds of algae, how much algae will be in the pond after 12 hours?​

There will be 800 hundred pounds.

Explanation:

First 4 hrs doubles do goes up to 100.

After 4 more hours, 100 doubles so now we are at 200.

After 4 more hours, 200 doubles so now we are at 400

After 4 more hours, 400 doubles so now we are at 800.

Alll 12 hrs have gone by and we are at 800.

Explanation:

there is 3 groups of 4 in 12, so 50 x 2 = 100, that's once, 100 x 2 is 200. 200 x 2 is 400, so there's 400 pounds.
