The ratio of length , breadth,and height of cuboid is 3:2:1.If the volume of the cuboid is 48 cubic meter,find the base area of the cuboid​

Base area of the cuboid = 24 square inches

Solution:

Volume of cuboid formula = length × breadth × height

Ratio of l : b : h = 3 : 2 : 1

Let us take length be 3x, breadth be 2x and height be x.

Volume of cuboid = 48 cubic meter

length × breadth × height = 48


3x* 2x * x = 48


6x^3=48

Divide by 6 on both sides of the equation.


x^3=8


x^3=2^3

Taking cube root on both sides, we get

x = 2

Base area of the cuboid = length × breadth

= 3(2) × 2(2)

= 6 × 4

= 24

Base area of the cuboid = 24 square inches
