Xavier sold 22 pounds of nuts at the fair.
We can use the equation 25-x=3
Subtracting 25 we get -x=-22
And we multiply both sides by -1 to get x=22.
Checking:
x+3=25
22+3=25
25=25
And so you know 22 is the right answer.
I hope this helps!
