D. y = –0.5x + 5

In this chart, the slope, (m):


\sf (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)}


\hookrightarrow \sf (-6-0)/(-2-0)


\hookrightarrow \sf (-6)/(-2)


\hookrightarrow \sf 3

Equation:


\sf y_1-y= m(x_1-x)


\hookrightarrow \sf y-(-6)= 3(x-(-2))


\hookrightarrow \sf y+6= 3x+6


\hookrightarrow \sf y+6-6= 3x+6-6


\hookrightarrow \sf y= 3x

⇒ Thus we found in the chart, the slope is 3 and y-intercept : 0

  • A = y-intercept : 0
  • B = y-intercept : 0
  • C = y-intercept : -1
  • D = y-intercept : 5

From this D only has the greatest y-intercept than the chart.
