y=3x+1~~~...(i)\\\\2x+y=16~~~...(ii)\\\\\text{Substitute y= 3x+1 in eq (ii):}\\\\2x+3x+1 = 16\\\\\implies 5x +1 = 16\\\\\implies 5x = 16-1 = 15\\\\\implies x = \frac{15}5 = 3\\\\\text{Substitute x = 3 in equation (i):}\\\\y= 3(3) +1 = 9+1 = 10\\\\\text{Hence,}~ (x,y) = (3,10)
