Answer:

30, 36

Explanation:

x = first multiple of 6

y = consecutive multiple of 6

x+y=66

AND

y=x + 6 (this represents the consecutive multiple of 6)

therefore

x+x+6 = 66

2x = 60 x=30

y=30+6 = 36

let the two numbers be 6x and 6x+6

now

6x+6x+6=66

12x=60

x=5

therefore the numbers are

30 and 36
