Suppose that Ralph gets a strike when bowling 30% of the time. What is the probability that Ralph does not get a strike on the

next three balls that he bowls? (round to three decimal places)

Answer: .3

Explanation:

If the probability of Ralph getting a strike is .3, then the probability of him not getting a strike must be .7.

When finding the probabliity of an event happening multiple times, we multiply the probabilities together.

So,

(7/10) * (7/10) * (7/10) = .343, or .3 rounded.

Note that when multiplying fractions, the numerators get multiplied by each other, and the denominators also get multiplied by each other.
