Suppose a constellation of stars is plotted on a coordinate plane. The coordinates of the first star are (-2, 4). The second star is translated down 4 units. What are the new coordinates?

Answer:

A. (-2,0)

Explanation:

When plotting on a coordinate plane you always "run before you jump" so you would have the -2 stay because down would be the jumping portion and in this you would be falling down 4 and it is four so it would turn into zero.
