To factor 28v^2-8v+36 find the greatest common denominator (GCF), then factor out the GCF. (Write the GCF first and divide each term by the GCF.) Then finally simplify.
To find the GCF, take the numbers out of the equation and see what number can be multiplied into those numbers, then you will find that the answer is four. I will put it in a picture for help. Something else is that even though in the answer it's multiplied by four, that the farthest it can be factored so it's done because if you multiplied it by four you'd get 28v^2-8v+36 again. You can also tell if you're done factoring if they all share a common factor, if they do, you're not done. You can tell that 4(7v^2-2v+9) is the correct answer because there are no common factors (nine is the only one that doesn't have the variable v).
Hope this helps, now you know the answer and how to do it. HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great rest of Black History Month! :-)
