Multiplying both sides of an inequality by a positive number doesn't change the direction of the inequality symbol. Nor does dividing. say if i had

3 variables.

- a < b

- c being a negative number

a * c > b * c

example:

4(-6) > 5(-6) would make this statement true: -24 > -30
