Written in y=mx+b form: m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.First you need to use the two points to find the slope, the formula is
m=(y_(2)- y_(1))/(x_(2) -x_(1)).

m=(7-2)/(-5-5)=(5)/(-10)=-(1)/(2)

So now to find the y-intercept, You can use either or of the (x,y) points since the answer will be the same, but for this I'm going to use (5,2).

b=2-(-(1)/(2))(5)=(9)/(2)

Now that we have the slope and the y-intercept, we can put it together to make the equation
y=-(1)/(2) x+(9)/(2).

Hope this helps, now you know the answer and how to do it. HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great rest of Black History Month! :-)
