distribute -3 to 5 and -3m to get

15 + 9m = -30

you do inverse operations to the other side so you would do

15 + 9m = -30
-15. -15

and then you would get

9m= -30

divide by 9 on each side

9m = -30

Answer:
m=32/3

Explanation:

1) Simplify both sides of the equation:
5+-3m+-3=-30

(-3m)+(5+-3)=-30 (Combine Like Terms)

-3m+2=-30

2) Subtract 2 from both sides:
-3m+2-2=-30-2

-3m=-32

3) Divide both sides by 3:
-3m/-3 = -32/-3

Get your answer:
m=32/3
