let's keep in mind that that same/same = 1 always, so then we can say


\cfrac{spaghetti}{spaghetti}~~ = ~~\cfrac{hippopotamus}{hippopotamus}~~ = ~~\cfrac{meatballs}{meatballs}~~ = ~~\cfrac{dog}{dog}~~ = ~~\cfrac{0.\overline{55}}{0.\overline{55}}~~ = ~~\textit{\huge 1}

well, "1" is a whole number

"1" is also an integer oddly enough

"1" can be written as a ration like 1/1, so is also rational.
