The volume of model is 452.16 cubic inches

Solution:

Given that,

A model of a volcano has a height of 12 in., and a diameter of 12 in.

We know that, volcano is of shape cone,

The volume of cone is given as:

V = (1)/(3) * \pi r^2 h

Where,

r is the radius

h is the height

From given,

h = 12 inches

Diameter = 12 inches

Radius = (diameter)/(2)\\\\Radius = (12)/(2) = 6

Substituting the values we get,

V = (1)/(3) * 3.14 * 6^2 * 12\\\\V = 3.14 * 36 * 4\\\\V = 452.16

Thus volume of model is 452.16 cubic inches
