(bh)/(2) \\ 10 * 10 = 100 \\ 100 / 2 = 50 \\ the \: triangles \: have \: the \: same \: area \: and \: there \: are \: 4 \: triangles \: so \\ 4(50) = 200 \\ now \: we \: find \: the \: are \: of \: the \: rectangular\: base \: \\ area = bh \\ b = 10 \\ h = 10 \\ 10(10) = 100 \\ no w \: we \: add \: the \: area \: of \: the \: triangles \: and \: the \: square \\ 200 + 100 = 300 \: {in}^(2)
