Speed of car B = 25 miles/hr

Speed of car A = 35 miles/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Two cars meet at a distance = 300 miles

Let the speed of Car B = x miles/hr

Speed of car A = x + 10 miles/hr

Time when car passes, t = 5 hours

Speed of the cars = ?

So,

Distance of car A + Distance of car B = 300 miles

We know, distance = speed X time

So,

(x+10) 5 + 5x = 300

5x + 50 + 5x = 300

10x = 250

x = 25 miles/hr

Speed of car B = 25 miles/hr

Speed of car A = 25 + 10 = 35 miles/hr

Therefore,

Speed of car B = 25 miles/hr

Speed of car A = 35 miles/hr
