Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Listening and Observing - This is one of the important principles of servant leadership. The leaders actively speak to their employees and develop a close understanding of how they see the world. How they perceive different aspects of their work. Once they get this understanding they decide on the leadership approach appropriately. In a formal work context, the servant leaders make sure to create avenues of casual socializing like outings/dinners etc outside of the office so that they can form a good understanding of the reporters.

2. Mentoring - The servant leaders make sure that they are the natural mentors to their employees. They would be the first person the employees turn to when they are in need of some advice; personal or professional. The trick here is to be selfless as possible. Servant leaders make sure the employee's needs are met before even thinking about their own. In some corporate cultures which follow rating structure, there is a process called moderation. In this process, the managers fight for a good rating for their employees. The confidence that the manager will stand for him/her will motivate the employee to work best.
