Digital forensic is a part of cyber forensic which defined as the process of identification,seizure the location of crime,collection of the
evidences,and other chain of custody to investigate the crime related to the computer and internet.
This department of forensic have many tools and technique for the examination of digital crime of cyber world such as FTK, Encase etc.
Digital forensic follow the steps in investigation:
Identification:-
to identify the evidence and location of the crime.
Seizure:-
to seize all the evidences found on the crime scene for further investigation.
Collection and preservation:-
evidences should be collected properly with photographs.
Documentation and presentation:-
the investigation officer make notes and presentation of whole procedure of investigation to present in the court of law.
