Tom planted vegetables in a rectangular garden that was 25 feet long and 15 feet wide. He used 1/3 of the area for corn and 1/5 of it for peas. How many square feet are left over for other vegetables

area of plot = l×b

= 25×15 = 375 square feet ar. for

corn = 1/3 of 375

= 125 feet

ar. for peas = 1/5 of 375

= 75 feet

Area left = 375 -(125+75) =

375-200

= 175 square feet

Therefore area left for other vegetables is 175 square feet.
