The system of equations are:

400 + 60x and 200 + 85x

Solution:

Given that,

Jana is buying a cell-phone plan

She has two plans to choose from

Let "x" be the number of months

Plan A: $400 phone, $60/month

Therefore,

plan A cost : 400 + 60(number of months)

plan A cost : 400 + 60x ----- eqn 1

Plan B: $200 phone, $85/month

Therefore,

Plan B cost: 200 + 85(number of months)

Plan B cost: 200 + 85x ----- eqn 2

Thus, eqn 1 and eqn 2 represents the system of equations
