Some historians have characterized the industrial and Business Leaders of the 1865-1900 period as robber barons, who used extreme methods to control and concentrate wealth and power. To what extent is that characterization Justified based on the historical evidence?

Robber barons were wealthy people who had a lot of purchasing power, they resorted to extreme methods to remain in power, this meant that they didn’t mind staying in power for decades without chasing new people. They just cared about their money and their properties and doing everything they could to keep them.
