Step 4 : x < 3

Solution:

Given that,

Step 1:

Given inequality is:

-10 + 8x < 6x - 4

Step 2:

Subtract 8x from both sides of inequality

-10 + 8x -8x < 6x - 4 - 8x

Simplify

-10 < -2x - 4

Step 3:

Add 4 on both sides of inequality

-10 + 4 < -2x - 4 + 4

Simplify

-6 < -2x

Step 4

Divide both sides by -2

When we multiply or divide by a negative number, we have to flip the inequality sign

Therefore,

3 > x

Which means,

x < 3

Thus the inequality is found
