The measure of angle B is : 18 degrees

The measure of angle A is : 162 degrees

Solution:

Given that,

Let "x" be the measure of angle A

Let "y" be the measure of angle B

Angle A and angle B are supplementary angles

Two angles are supplementary, if they add to 180 degrees

Therefore,

x + y = 180 ------ eqn 1

Angle A is nine times as large as angle B

Therefore,

x = 9y ----- eqn 2

Substitute eqn 2 in eqn 1

9y + y = 180

10y = 180

y = 18

Substitute y = 18 in eqn 2

x = 9(18)

x = 162

Therefore,

The measure of angle B is : 18 degrees

The measure of angle A is : 162 degrees
