Answer:

125.9 cm^2

Explanation:

the data we have is

height = 2.2cm

long = 9.1cm

width = 3.8cm

the area of the top and bottom is given by:

long*width =9.1*3.8=34.58cm^2

since we need both the top and the bottom covered we multiply by 2:

2(34.58)=69.16cm^2

Now for the area of the front and back:

long*height=9.1*2.2=20.02cm^2

and also since we need both front and back we multiply by 2:

2(20.02)=40.04cm^2

the area for the sides:

width*height=3.8*2.2=8.36cm^2

and we multiply by 2 to get both sides:

2(8.36)=16.72cm^2

and finally we add all the areas:

area=69.16+40.04+16.72=125.9cm^2

the amount of wrapping paper needed is
125.9 cm^2

Answer:

125.9 cm^2

Explanation:

Since the box will be covered all around we need to find the area of the figure

Tthe formula to calculate area of a cuboid is : 2 (lw + wh + hl) (l: length, w: width, h: height)

2 × (2.2×9.1 + 2.2×3.8 + 9.1×3.8) = 125.9 cm^2
