A submarine at a depth of 800 m sends a sonar signal and receives the reflected wave back from a similar submerged object in 15 s.

Estimate the distance to the other object.

Answer: this is hardly worth the trouble but basically one way distance \u2248 a \u394t\2 = 1457 (15/2) \u2248 10900m

Step-by-step explanation:

it probably makes little difference but estimated at depth 800 meters, p=101350 +1025 (9.81)(800) = 8.15E6 Pa= 80.4 atm p/pa= 80.4 = 3001 ... :/
