Answer:

C) Sonia earns a reputation as a fair and capable judge with her ruling in the baseball strike case.

Step-by-step explanation:

"Who is Sonia Sotomayor" is a biographical book by Megan Stine about the famous judge.

Chapter 7 of this book tells us about the hard and long process of her becoming a judge in the District Court in New York. We also get familiar with the the US Court system and her feelings when she was elected a judge in 1990s.

However, the main part of this chapter is the description of her first big case, a major league baseball players' strike. The strike had already lasted 7 months and the competition was jeopardized. It was expected that, due to the complexity of the case, she would take weeks to reach the verdict, she proved herself as a capable judge by making the fair desicion instantly, thus earning a reputation, becoming famous and being named "the person who saved baseball".
