Question

A sum of Rs 140 is divided into two parts.If the greater part is Rs 20 more than the double of smaller part,find the parts of sum.

plz help me.....​

Let smaller part be x

x+20+2x=140

3x=120

x=40

Larger part=40(2)+20=100
