Answer:

15.50p = 93.

Explanation:

I wrote $93 after the equal mark instead $100 because we know that $100 the amount she had in the beginning then she had $100 but before they could enter the park she had to pay for parking space, so $100 - $7 would give us $93. So that means that her new balance that she takes inside the zoo is $93.

We know that $15.50 is for a person; since the question isn't asking us to solve but write a equation so we are done.

The p represent the variable in the equation which stands for the amount of people that can enter the zoo.

Answer: she can bring 6 people to the zoo, including herself.

Explanation:

Let (x + 1) represent the number of people that she can bring to the zoo, including herself.

The parking will cost $7, and admission tickets will cost $15.50 per person, including tax. This means that the total cost of bringing x people including herself to the party would be

7 + 15.5(x + 1)

Ms. Hernandez has $100 to spend on parking and admission to the zoo. This means that

7 + 15.5(x + 1) = 100

7 + 15.5x + 15.5 = 100

15.5x + 22.5 = 100

15.5x = 100 - 22.5 = 77.5

x = 77.5/15.5

x = 5

x + 1 = 5 + 1 = 6
