Sum of 2 numbers = 55

Since the smaller number is 11 less than the larger number ;
55 - 11 = 44 ( sum of numbers if they were the same )

44/2 = 22 ( the smaller number )

However, since the numbers are different and cannot be 22 for both of them,

22 + 11 = 33 ( bigger number )

Hence, smaller number is 22 and bigger number is 33.

Answer:

Larger number is: 33

Smaller number is : 22

Explanation:

Let the larger number be 'L'

and the smaller number be 'S'

The sum of two numbers is '55'

so,
S+L=55 Equation:1

Smaller number is 11 less than the larger number,so:

S=L-11 Equation:2

Putting 'S' of Equation:2 in Equation:1

S+L=55 \\ (L-11)+L=55\\L+L-11=55\\2L=55+11\\L=66/2\\L=33

Putting the value of 'L' in Equation:2

S=L-11\\S=33-11\\S=22

So, the Larger number is: 33

and Smaller number is : 22
